Sri Lanka Adventure Holidays
Sri Lanka is one of our favourite destinations. For a country that is smaller than Ireland, it has a vast amount to offer any visitor making it easy to cover a lot of ground in a short space of time. It is a beautifully diverse country buzzing with local life in the towns and cities, peaceful and serene National Parks teeming with wildlife, trails ideal for trekking and cycling, temples, World Heritage sites and golden palm fringed beaches to relax on.

Our specialists return to Sri Lanka again and again. There’s just something about this island nation that keeps people wanting more. We love sharing our passion for the country and our hard-earned secret spots – from secluded palm-lined beaches to vast national parks and hidden temples.
The huge variety of life in Sri Lanka makes it the ideal destination for an adventure traveller who wants to see different elements of the country and really get under the skin of the culture. You can swap from thrilling activity to leisurely sightseeing in the same day. Discover over 2000 years of ancient culture at mesmerising temples and archaeological sites, visit a tea plantation, take part in a tea ceremony and learn about some of the friendliest people on the planet.
For animal lovers, wildlife spotting opportunities are abundant in Sri Lanka. Where else would you see hundreds of elephants in one place? The Gathering is a natural phenomenon where herds of elephants gather in Minneriya at an ancient reservoir. Other travellers strive to see the elusive leopard, or one of many rare endemic bird species.
Sri Lanka is affected by two separate monsoon seasons so the best time to visit depends on what area you are travelling to. Temperatures remain constant year round but do decrease in the highlands. The Yala monsoon season is between May and August, whereas the Maha monsoon season is between October and January.
